If you chose our lawyers you will receive a sympathetic hearing from someone who understands the particular difficulties facing bike riders on UK roads. Compensation for motorbike claims is paid in full with no deductions and you will not be expected to fund your claim. We guarantee without reservation that our claims are completely risk free.
Personal Injury Claim
Injuries to bike riders most often occur as a result of a collision with another motor vehicle however a small but significant percentage of claims arise as a result of the condition of the road or as a result of debris being left on the road. We are able to pursue motorbike claims against those responsible for depositing debris, oil or diesel on the road and in many circumstances we can pursue motorbike claims against a local authority or the highway authority for the condition of the road including uneven surfaces, protrusions, potholes and excess gravel.

Statistics
In 60% of accidents involving a motorcycle there was a car involved and in half of these cases the driver of the car was to blame for causing the accident. Excessive speed by the rider was only a contributory factor in a small percentage of cases and most accidents occur at low speeds often below 30mph with the majority of accidents taking place in an urban environment. Human error is the cause of the majority of these accidents, the most frequent being a failure of observation by car drivers either due to a lack of driver attention, temporary visual obstructions or the low visibility of the rider. The main facts and figures arising out of recent surveys are as follows:
- 50% of accidents are due to human error on the part of the other driver.
- 70% of the other driver’s errors were failure to perceive the rider.
- Riders between the ages of 41 and 55 years are at the lowest risk of becoming involved in a collision, have a better motorcycle accident claims history and lower insurance premiums.
- Car drivers were found to have committed more than twice as many violations of traffic regulations than motorbike riders
- The impact speed in 70% of the cases was below 30 mph.
- Other motorbike riders are more likely to see another motorbike rider.
- 37% of accidents were caused by human error on the part of the motorbike rider.
- Alcohol was a contributory factor in only 5% of cases.
- The weather was a contributory factor less than 10% of cases.
- In 13% of all accidents the motorbike rider chose a poor or incorrect collision avoidance strategy or failed to see the other vehicle.
- Modified motorbikes are a greater risk.
- In 18% of cases there was a disparity between the speed of the rider and the speed of the driver which was considered to be a contributing factor.
